Behaviour: Perch/Patrol

Wingspan: 29-36mm

Caterpillar food plant: Cock's foot (Dactylis glomerata), False Broom (Brachypodium sylvaticum)

Peak District status: Common and widespread resident. Occurs in all types of rough and semi-improved grassland, road verges, moorland valleys. Reaches 350m in sheltered moorland cloughs. Flies from early June to the end of August.
