When to see: June-August

Where to see: Unimproved grassland on well-drained soil.

Behaviour: Patrol

Wingspan: 33-37mm

Caterpillar food plant: Bents (Agrostis spp.), Fescues (Festuca spp.)

Peak District status: Very common and widespread in all parts of the Peak District in rough grassland areas. Emerges early-mid June and seen throughout July and August-September with a few exceptionally persisting into early October.
