Where to see: Rough grassland

Behaviour: Patrol

Wingspan: 27-34mm

Caterpillar food plant: Yorkshire-fog (Holcus lanatus), Creeping Soft-grass (Holcus mollis), Timothy (Phleum pratense)

Peak District status: Common and widespread resident. Occurs in all types of rough and semi-improved grassland, road verges and moorland valleys up to around 400m. Flies from late June to the beginning of September.
